The ODP Source Connector is a Kafka connector for extracting data out of various delta enabled SAP Operational Data Provisioning data sources like ERP extractors, HANA, BW, CDS and more.

IDoc Source & Sink Connectors

The IDoc Source and Sink Connectors enable the native exchange of business documents between SAP systems and Kafka. These connectors are fully integrated in Kafka Connect and allow for the use of native SAP IDoc processing to create and process IDocs. For instance, IDocs can be automatically created based on change pointer events in SAP or trigger automatic SAP IDoc inbound processing to update core business entities.
 
The IDoc source connector in Kafka Connect enables the transmission of IDocs that are stored as files on the application server. It supports all current native SAP IDoc file formats. The connector reads the files transparently using the RFC API.
 
To sink IDocs from Kafka to SAP, use the IDoc Sink Connector, which leverages ALE/RFC to transfer and initiate inbound processing in SAP.
 
Kafka Connect provides built-in support for various Kafka-supported data formats, automatic schema generation, and SMTs. The Connectors ensure that your vital data types are preserved when creating native Kafka messages.

IDoc Connectors Overview

OData V2/V4 Source and Sink Connectors

The OData Source and Sink Connector are Kafka connectors enabling CRUD operations on entity sets published by OData version 2 or OData version 4 services.
 
The connectors have been field-tested in customer projects. Both connectors, OData V2 and OData V4, are listed in the Confluent Hub with gold verification status.

Webservice Data Source Sink Connector

The Webservice Data Source Connector is a high performance Kafka sink connector that can be used to load data from Kafka to the SAP Business Intelligence platform. Webservice DataSources in SAP BI facilitate a push-based replication scenario and real-time data acquisition.

The Connector is listed in the Confluent Hub as a fully supported partner integration for the Confluent ecosystem.

Instead of SOAP the connector uses a much more efficient SAP RFC based connection for data transfer. Ask your SAP basis administration team to establish a connection between your Kafka cluster and SAP landscape.

aDSO Sink Connector

The aDSO Sink Connector enables data ingestion from Kafka into your SAP BW/4HANA installation using standard advanced Data Store Objects. By supporting BW-native request-based loading, the development effort of your integration scenarios can be reduced to a minimum.

OData Business Event Source Connector

RFC Source Connector

The RFC Source Connector is a generic connector for calling arbitrary SAP Remote Function Modules and serializing request and response parameters into Kafka messages. The connector has built-in support for any RFC compliant data structures, which will be automatically transformed into standard Kafka schemas. Change data capture and delivery semantics like exactly-once must be implemented as part of the RFM implementation but is supported by the connector through a mapping of arbitrarily structured offsets to export and import parameters.
